Depends on what rock type the building is made of & the pH of acid rain.
Usual acid rain forms from the mixture of rain water with atmospheric carbon dioxide.
H20 + CO2 --> H2C03 + H+
Water + Carbon Dioxide = Carbonic Acid & Hydrogen Cation.
This is usually a weak acid, around 5-6 when formed in the atmosphere & will usually be washed off buildings by neutral rain before it can have any effect.
Limestone is the readily used rock type which will react with cold dilute acid, & therefore limestone buildings may react slightly quicker.
E.g Cathedrals tend to be limestone & often noses on statues r eroded slightly.
